Hello & Welcome

Welcome to our new website for IFoA. Our team has been working together for a year now and we’re  excited for the potential of the edible insect market to bring good jobs to small communities and creating an industry that will bring high quality protein options to our (and our pets) dinner plates in an environmentally sustainable and economical way.

Quick overview of our goals and objectives:

-Help to demystify the consumption of insects, a clean, healthy protein loaded with healthy fats

-Be an advocate for small producers and keeping the economic benefits of insect production spread out among many, including rural communities in need of quality jobs

-Be a source of quality information and support for small producers and the greater public

-Help ensure quality production standards and integrity in the industry

-Promote environmentally sustainable practices which will aid small producers in generating high quality product and the ability to compete with large (especially industry giants) corporations.

Our team is comprised of several individuals well suited to execute the vision we have laid out. We’ll introduce you to one of our “captains”, JP Michaud, in our next blog entry.
